Kansas Water Authority to meet April 17

Kansas

The Kansas Water Authority will meet by conference call at 8:30 a.m., April 17. The call will originate from the Kansas Water Office at 901 S. Kansas Ave. in Topeka, Kan.

Agenda items include operational matters of the Kansas Water Authority, the Kansas Water office and the state's river basin advisory committees. A legislative update and basin advisory committee membership nominations are among the topics to be discussed.

For a copy of the agenda, conference call instructions or other information, refer to the Kansas Water Office website, www.kwo.org or call 785-296-3185 or toll free 888-526-9283 (KAN-WATER). Those interested in attending may come to the Kansas Water Office.

The 24-member Kansas Water Authority represents the state's diverse water interests. The Authority advises the Kansas Legislature and Governor on water policy issues. Members of the state's 12 Basin Advisory Committees provide two-way communication between the Authority, the groups they represent and basin residents.

If special accommodations are needed, please contact the Kansas Water Office at least two days in advance.
