Apache livestock sales report

Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,330 head Aug. 28, compared to 750 head last week and 1,730 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and feeder heifers were steady to $1 lower. Steer and heifer calves were steady to $2 lower. Demand was moderate to good. The supply included 71% over 600 pounds and 45% heifers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 367 lbs., 140.00; 7 head, 415 lbs., 130.00; 14 head, 471 to 480 lbs., 118.50 to 120.50 (119.79); 20 head, 519 to 547 lbs., 115.25 to 118.00 (115.91); 10 head, 523 to 545 lbs., 108.00 to 109.50 (108.73) fleshy; 573 to 580 lbs., 110.50 to 112.75 (112.22) fleshy; 11 head, 570 lbs., 123.50 thin; 17 head, 623 lbs., 115.00; 615 to 648 lbs., 109.00 to 110.25 (109.61) calves; 18 head, 664 to 691 lbs., 109.00 to 110.60 (109.78) calves; 710 to 738 lbs., 111.50 to 114.00 (112.84); 763 to 796 lbs., 108.50 to 113.50 (112.87); 812 to 842 lbs., 108.50 to 110.10 (109.43); 60 head, 850 lbs., 106.25; 22 head, 913 lbs., 104.60.
