Woodward livestock sales report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 6,010 head Sept. 19, compared to 5,727 head last week and 5,600 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $2 to $4 lower. Feeder heifers were $3 to $4 lower. Steer calves under 550 pounds were steady to $2 higher, heavier weights were $2 lower. Heifer calves were $2 to $4 lower. Demand was moderate for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 62% steers, 34% heifers with 82% over 600 pounds.
