Tulsa livestock market reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 4,110 head Sept. 22, compared to 2,030 head last week and 3,340 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steer calves were steady to $1 higher, heifers were $2 to $3 higher. Feeder steers and heifers were steady to $2 lower. The run included a higher percentage of No. 2 cattle. Weigh-ups were mostly average to few full. Demand was very good on calves. Good attendance of buyers. The supply included 26% over 600 pounds, and 39% heifers. Slaughter cows were steady to $1 lower, bulls were $2 lower. A total of 763 cows and bulls sold with 46% going to packers.
