Tractor enthusiasts invited to participate in Farm Heritage CelebrationKansas The Southeast Kansas Farm History Center in Parsons has scheduled the first-ever, Farm Heritage Celebration on Saturday, October 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tolen Creek Park, just south of the U.S. 59 and 400 exit in Parsons. The Farm Heritage Celebration will feature a post Civil War settlement, living history demonstrations, wagon rides and agricultural demonstrations from the 1890s through the early 1950s. We are currently seeking anyone who is interested in displaying antique (pre-1950s) tractors or other agricultural implements to add to the farm equipment display. To participate in this display or for more information, please call (620) 778-1551 or 620-423-1410. Tolen Creek Park is located just east of Stockyards Travel Plaza's south entrance on Cattle Drive. The Southeast Kansas Farm History Center has an advisory board established through the City of Parsons. Their mission is to preserve the farming heritage of Southeast Kansas. 9/29/08 Date: 9/23/08
