Pratt 3 p.m cattle sales

The Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kan., Sept. 25, reported estimated receipts of 2,000 head, as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, steers at 700 to 850 pounds were steady, and 850 to 1000 pounds were weak to $1 lower. Heifers at 700 to 1000 pounds, in a very limited test, were firm with instances of $2 higher. Steers and heifers at 700 pounds and under were not established as of 3 p.m.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 750 to 800 lbs., 107.25 to 108.10; 800 to 850 lbs., 107.25 to 109.35; 850 to 900 lbs., 104.75 to 107.35, 60 head, 863 lbs., 109.00; 900 to 950 lbs., 101.60 to 103.10, 52 head, 954 lbs., 103.10; 1000 to 1050 lbs., 98.50 to 98.75.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 21 head, 718 lbs., 103.85; 750 to 800 lbs., 100.35 to 102.10; 800 to 850 lbs., 98.00 to 99.25; 950 to 1000 lbs., 96.50 to 96.75.
