Lexington cattle salesThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,550 head Sept. 19, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared with two weeks ago, comparable offerings traded steady to $6 lower. Demand was moderate. Receipts consisted of 55% steers and 45% heifers, with 98% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 295 lbs., 125.00; 10 head, 584 lbs., 110.00; 720 to 735 lbs., 110.00 to 115.00 (112.31); 809 to 847 lbs., 108.00 to 113.00 (112.43); 850 to 893 lbs., 105.00 to 109.25 (107.47); 900 to 906 lbs., 103.50 to 108.50 (107.18); 951 to 957 lbs., 104.50 to 104.85 (104.61); 101 head, 1030 lbs., 102.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 55 head, 941 lbs., 101.75; 956 to 985 lbs., 94.25 to 99.00 (96.09). Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 9 head, 286 lbs., 116.75; 7 head, 478 lbs., 108.00; 750 to 796 lbs., 100.60 to 106.00 (104.28); 806 to 848 lbs., 100.60 to 102.75 (101.93); 855 to 881 lbs., 96.00 to 102.00 (99.85); 939 to 946 lbs., 97.25 to 100.00 (99.90).
