Farm and Ranch Expo planned for McCook

Nebraska

A new event is on the horizon for McCook--the McCook Farm and Ranch Expo--scheduled for Nov. 19 and 20.

According to organizer Darren Dale, McCook is the ideal place to hold an event such as this.

"McCook is a retail hub for northwest Kansas and Southwest Nebraska. In addition, McCook has great facilities that will be able to accommodate a show of this size."

The show will be held at the Red Willow County Fairgrounds. Dale plans to utilize the 4-H and Community Buildings, Kiplinger Arena, and the pavilion area for the show. He is anticipating having more than 100 vendors who will display and demonstrate their products at the show site.

In addition to commercial vendors, featured guests at the Expo include Amy Wilson, Miss Rodeo America; Will Lowe, three-time bareback riding world champion and six-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier; and Bar C Stockdogs with stock dog demonstrations.

Booth spaces and sponsorships are still available, but Dale encourages potential vendors to contact him as soon as possible. He can be reached at 866-685-0989 or 785-332-6506. More information is also available at www.mccookfarmandranchexpo.net.

"This will be a great opportunity for commercial vendors and producers to come together. McCook is in the center of rich agriculture, and the event is scheduled during the last part of November allowing farmers to attend the expo after their fall harvest." said Dale.
