Dates changed for Farm Bill Explanation Tour

Colorado

The dates for the Farm Bill Explanation Tour, previously scheduled for Oct. 7 and 8, have been changed to Nov. 19 and 20. The Colorado Association of Wheat Growers is hosting the tour to explain the 2008 farm bill.

The tour was postponed from the original dates because the national training of Farm Service Agency employees in Dallas in mid-September was delayed by Hurricane Ike. Colorado FSA Executive Director Lewis Frank, Farm Program Specialist Bridgett Hoover and Farm Loan Specialist Scott Miller will discuss implementation of the 2008 farm bill and answer questions.

The dates and locations are as follows:

Nov. 19

7:30 a.m., Lamar, Community Building Multi-Purpose Room (complimentary continental breakfast);

7 p.m., Burlington, Community Center (complimentary refreshments).

Nov. 20

7:30 a.m., Limon, Hub City Senior Center (complimentary continental breakfast);

7 p.m., Sterling, Northeastern Junior College Student Center Ballroom (complimentary refreshments).

CAWG is a voluntary membership association that lobbies on behalf of wheat growers at the state and national levels of government and provides special programs and benefits to dues paying members.
