Apache livestock sales report

Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,774 head Sept. 18, compared to 1,977 head last week and 2,772 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were $3 to $5 lower. Feeder cattle demand was light to moderate. Demand was good for calves. The supply included 56% over 600 pounds and 48% heifers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 399 lbs., 124.00; 423 to 425 lbs., 120.25 to 124.75 (123.47); 12 head, 465 to 469 lbs., 122.50 to 124.25 (123.52); 6 head, 458 lbs., 121.75 thin, 6 head, 468 lbs., 117.50 fleshy; 523 to 548 lbs., 107.00 to 114.00 (109.41); 553 to 589 lbs., 105.00 to 108.50 (106.46); 601 to 629 lbs., 100.00 to 104.50 (101.57) calves; 11 head, 702 lbs., 95.75 calves; 6 head, 628 lbs., 104.50; 666 to 690 lbs., 106.25 to 108.75 (107.14); 5 head, 644 lbs., 100.00 fleshy; 7 head, 670 lbs., 97.00 fleshy; 6 head, 724 lbs., 105.00; 759 to 796 lbs., 104.85 to 107.25 (106.84); 15 head, 810 to 813 lbs., 103.50 to 103.75 (103.67); 34 head, 871 lbs., 100.00; 13 head, 907 lbs., 98.50; 10 head, 1035 lbs., 96.25.
