Ada livestock sales report

The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 2,060 head Sept. 17, compared to 2,150 head last week and 2,088 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves were steady. Weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium to fleshy. The supply included 35% over 600 pounds 65% under 600 pounds. The total includes 46% heifers.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 336 lbs., 137.50; 6 head, 400 to 448 lbs., 126.00 to 132.00 (129.85); 11 head, 457 to 479 lbs., 120.00 to 123.00 (121.66); 12 head, 517 to 533 lbs., 114.00 to 116.00 (115.00); 5 head, 556 lbs., 107.00; 11 head, 576 to 578 lbs., 103.00 to 105.00 (103.91) fleshy; 602 to 647 lbs., 109.25 to 110.00 (109.70); 16 head, 670 to 688 lbs., 107.00 to 109.00 (108.01); 8 head, 691 lbs., 104.00 fleshy; 701 to 734 lbs., 105.00 to 108.25 (107.15). Medium and large frame 2, 4 head, 303 lbs., 128.00; 5 head, 490 lbs., 116.00; 3 head, 503 lbs., 110.00; 563 to 596 lbs., 102.00 to 105.00 (102.98); 18 head, 615 to 648 lbs., 100.00 to 104.00 (101.86); 3 head, 653 lbs., 99.00. Medium and large frame 3, 4 head, 519 lbs., 105.00; 5 head, 556 lbs., 105.00.

Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 4 head, 446 lbs., 126.00; 7 head, 531 lbs., 108.00. Medium and large frame 2, 5 head, 400 lbs., 109.00; 4 head, 476 lbs., 115.00; 10 head, 568 to 594 lbs., 93.00 to 98.00 (95.56); 14 head, 608 to 635 lbs., 93.00 to 95.00 (94.24).
