Sorghum Board schedules meetingNebraska The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board has scheduled a public meeting for Sept. 25 at the University of Nebraska, Ag Research Development Center, 1701 County Road G, Ithaca, Neb. The meeting will convene at 9 a.m., in the ARDC Conference Room. In addition to regular board business, the meeting will include reports on program activities in the areas of research, market development, producer education and federal legislation. Following the meeting at 2 p.m., a tour of current sorghum field research being conducted at the University's Ag Research Center will be held. Interested sorghum producers are welcome to participate on the tour. Meet at the ARDC Headquarters for prompt departure. A copy of the agenda is available by e-mailing sorghum.board@nebraska.gov or by phoning the board at 402-471-4276. The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board administers the one-cent per hundredweight check-off, which is assessed on all grain sorghum sold in the state.
