Simmental association announces new field staffChase Groves, a native of Garland, Ark., is the newest addition to the ASA Field Services staff. He has assumed responsibility for the states in the Southern Region of the US, primarily working in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Louisiana. "We are excited to bring Chase to our Field Staff team," said Marty Ropp, ASA's Director of Field Services. "Along with a great attitude, he brings solid beef industry and Simmental experience, Groves received his B.S. degree in Animal Science in 2006, from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he participated in the livestock judging team. Groves has been involved in the Simmental business his entire life, serving on the American Junior Simmental Board of Trustees, as well as one year as the Board Chairman. In that position, he also completed a summer internship at the ASA office. Since graduation from the University of Arkansas, Chase has spent the last two years working on the family farm. The American Simmental Association is headquartered in Bozeman, Mont., and maintains the breed registries for both the Simmental and Simbrah breeds.
