Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales

Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., reported an estimated 2,500 head as of 3 p.m., Sept. 18, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, steers at 700 to 900 pounds were $3 to $5 lower, and the bulk of trade were $3 to $4 lower. Heifers weighing 650 to 950 pounds were $4 to $6 lower, with few instances of $7 lower on heifers over 800 pounds. Steers at 700 pounds and heifers 600 pounds and under were not established as of 3 p.m.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 700 to 750 lbs., 108.50 to 108.85; 750 to 800 lbs., 107.00 to 108.25; 800 to 850 lbs., 107.00 to 108.75; 850 to 900 lbs., 105.85 to 108.10; 900 to 950 lbs., 102.00 to 104.85.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 700 to 750 lbs., 103.00 to 103.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 99.25 to 100.00; 800 to 850 lbs., 98.00 to 99.25; 8 head 963 lbs., 95.00.
