Dodge City cattle sales reportDodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 2,425 head Sept. 10, compared to 1,532 head last week and 3,197 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers 600 to 900 pounds and heifers 650 to 950 pounds were weak to $2 lower. Steers under 600 pounds and heifers under 650 pounds not enough for a market test, but a lower undertone was noted. Slaughter cows wee steady to firm. Slaughter bulls not enough for test. Receipts included 74% 600 pounds and over, 19% 600 pounds and under, 7% slaughter cows and bulls with 180 head, early. The feeder supply 57% steers and 43% heifers.
