Clovis livestock sales report

The Clovis Livestock Auction Co., Clovis, N.M., reported estimated receipts of 1,000 head Sept. 17, according to the USDA-New Mexico Department of Agriculture Market News, Clovis, N.M.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $1 lower except those at 500 to 600 pounds were $5 to $7 lower. Heifers were $5 to $10 lower due to increased regulations on interstate transport.

Steers: Medium and large frame 1, package 260 lbs., 135.00; packages 310 to 352 lbs., 135.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 125.00 to 133.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 107.00 to 114.00; 678 to 687 lb. calves 100.50 to 105.25; package 713 lb. calves 97.50; 929 to 940 lbs., 93.75. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, packages 339 to 381 lbs., 118.00 to 120.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 120.00 to 129.00; package 257 lbs., 141.00; packages 300 to 348 lbs., 136.00 to 141.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 115.50 to 126.00; packages 553 to 598 lbs., 100.50 to 103.00; package 611 lbs., 106.00; package 770 lbs., 701.50; package 803 lbs., 100.50. Medium and large frame 2, packages 352 to 365 lbs., 127.00 to 128.00; package 455 lbs., 124.00; package 600 lb. calves 100.00.

Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, lot 398 lbs., 106.00; 400 to 450 lbs., 104.75 to 107.25; packages 565 to 576 lbs., 100.00 to 101.00; package 611 lb. calves 96.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, package 212 lbs., 115.00; 310 to 390 lbs., 106.50 to 112.00; packages 401 to 490 lbs., 91.00 to 99.00; packages 505 to 592 lbs., 91.00 to 99.00; package 640 lb. calves 93.00; lot 663 lbs., 104.25.
