Watertown cattle sales

The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 550 head Sept. 10, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Watertown, S.D.

No trends due to no report last week. Feeder steers made up 56% of the sale, feeder heifers 44% with 79% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 767 to 788 lbs., 109.35 to 112.25 (110.20); 47 head, 837 lbs., 110.40; 46 head, 915 lbs., 108.20; 10 head, 1006 lbs., 99.75. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 23 head, 420 lbs., 117.50; 9 head, 667 lbs., 108.25; 8 head, 843 lbs., 105.50; 20 head, 905 to 937 lbs., 98.00 to 103.80 (101.15); 963 to 978 lbs., 95.00 to 100.25 (97.66).

Feeder Holstein steers: Large frame 3, 5 head, 834 lbs., 55.00 thin; 7 head, 997 lbs., 63.00; 5 head, 1156 lbs., 58.50.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 307 to 334 lbs., 120.00 to 125.00 (122.30); 16 head, 381 lbs., 124.00; 15 head, 560 to 586 lbs., 107.00 to 111.50 (110.63); 22 head, 680 lbs., 108.50; 758 to 789 lbs., 104.50 to 105.00 (104.86); 806 to 849 lbs., 101.50 to 103.00 (101.96); 14 head, 885 lbs., 100.25. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 5 head, 413 lbs., 104.00; 11 head, 677 lbs., 105.75; 5 head, 754 lbs., 103.00; 6 head, 935 lbs., 94.50; 6 head, 1030 lbs., 90.50.
