St. Joseph feeder pigs

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 350 head Sept. 9, compared to 72 head last year, according to the USDA-Missouri Department of Agriculture Market News, St. Joseph, Mo.

There was no recent comparison, but a nice offering of feeder pigs was on hand for the sale. Prices paid per head on actual weights.

U.S. 1 to 2: two lots 36 lbs., 19.50 to 20.00; two lots 56 lbs., 26.00 to 32.00; package 60 lbs., 28.00; string 79 lbs., 29.00; string 83 lbs., 34.50.

U.S. 2 to 3: package 35 lbs., 15.00; package 40 lbs., 17.50
