More cattle being fed in Nebraska feedlotsLINCOLN, Neb. (AP)--The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the number of cattle in Nebraska feedlots grew 1 percent over last year. The Nebraska Field Office says 1.9 million cattle were on feed in the state on August 1. The Nebraska numbers were up slightly at the same time nationwide numbers fell 4 percent. The USDA says 9.9 million head of cattle were being fed nationwide on August 1.
