Fall 2008 MGGA grower information sessions scheduledMontana The Montana Grain Growers Association has scheduled 10 grower information sessions around the state this fall to hear member's local concerns and provide detailed information on several new farm bill and MGGA programs. A key focus of the meetings this year will be the several new farm bill programs and how they may affect your operation. Speakers will walk through provisions of the new Supplemental Revenue Assistance and Average Crop Revenue Programs along with other farm bill commodity and conservation title changes that offer new opportunities for growers. As always, the majority of the time at each meeting will be reserved for producer feedback. "This organization is grass roots driven," stated MGGA president Will Roehm of Great Falls. "Our annual grower sessions give producers a chance to have direct input on the top issues of the organization. It's very important that we do this in the communities where our members farm." Both members and non-members are encouraged to attend. Please come out to the meetings--bring your opinions, a neighbor, state legislator or prospective member and let us know how we're doing and what we can do to improve your grower association.
