Dunlap livestock sales report

The Dunlap Feeder Cattle Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, Sept. 5, reported receipts of 2,918 head, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.

This was a special feeder cattle sale. The auction featured strings of new crop calves. There were no market trends, but a fully steady undertone was noted on the new crop calves and good buyer demand for both calves and yearling cattle. Receipts included 25% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 46% feeder heifers and 54% feeder steers.
