Colorado livestock salesThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., reported receipts of 2,991 head Sept. 5, compared to 1,696 head last week and 3,010 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady with limited offerings. Demand was good. Buyers continue to show increased interest in yearling cattle coming off grass. Auction coverage has resumed at all barns in Colorado. The supply was made up of 77% feeder steers, 19% feeder heifers and the balance feeder bulls, with about 43% of total feeder supply over 600 pounds.
