Aberdeen livestock salesThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 4,754 head Sept. 10, compared to 3,129 head last week, and 2,463 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold $1 to $3 lower. Many of the offerings sold in load lots from large drafts. There was a large attendance of buyers. Steers comprised 69% of the run, heifers 31%. The supply included 96% over 600 pounds.
