2008 Kansas Red Angus Field Day Oct. 11

Mushrush Red Angus will be hosting the 2008 Kansas Red Angus field day Oct. 11 at 2 p.m., at their sale facility which is located on Lake Road between Cottonwood Falls and Elmdale, Kan.

Commercial producers are invited to attend to learn tips to improve their profitability.

Jim Kelly, Superior Livestock will give an engaging presentation of how value varies depending on management, genetics and region.

Red Angus staff will share how Red Angus genetics contribute to successful bottom lines, whether you market at weaning, retain ownership, or focus on the females.

In addition the annual meeting will be held and two new board members will be elected along with the next KRA president.

Mushrush Red Angus will have cattle on display. Activities for youth between the ages of 7 and 18 are being planned.

During the annual meeting a drawing will be held for $500 KRA Bucks. Only those who have paid their commercial or regular membership dues are eligible. You do not have to be present to win. KRA Bucks are intended for use in purchasing Kansas Red Angus genetics or services offered by KRA members. KRA Bucks can only be spent with KRA members.

Directions to Mushrush Red Angus sale facility from Elmdale is located approximately 7 miles Southwest of Strong City on US 50. Turn East into Elmdale from US 50 at Trading Post. Continue East on Lake Road (paved) for 1 1/2 miles to the top of the hill. Watch for signs.
