Oklahoma County 4-H names Edmond student to 2008 Hall of FameOklahoma The Oklahoma County 4-H program awarded Edmond's Tara Drwenski with its highest honor when she was named to its 2008 4-H Hall of Fame. Drwenski has been part of the Edmond 4-H club for 9 years and was also a winner of a state 4-H Record Book award this year in photography. A freshman at the University of Tulsa, Drwenski focused on the area of photography and has won hundreds of awards in the subject during her 4-H career. In the last few years, Drwenski has served her club as an officer and has helped initiate several community service events, including the Edmond 4-H Club's annual Safety Fair. Another project Drwenski initiated was the Birthday Photo Board at the Grace Living Center. She took photos of the residents who had birthdays that month and posted them on the birthday board so other residents would be sure to wish them a happy birthday. Drwenski has taught several photography workshops to younger 4-H members and even organized a photo scavenger hunt at the Oklahoma City Zoo last year. "Honestly, 4-H has given me opportunities and skills that I would not have otherwise," Drwenski explained. "It has given me a chance to explore my interest in photography, become a better public speaker and learn valuable life skills." Drwenski plans to study engineering at the University of Tulsa and continue making the most of her love of photography. 10/6/08 Date: 9/26/08
