Steer roping trophy saddles stolen in Oklahoma

Brady Garten has had several treasured trophy saddles stolen Oct. 12.

Saddles taken were:

--Saddle 1: Almost like new. At age 19 Brady was Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association steer roping Rookie Of The Year. This award saddle was made by Brad Mohon of Claremore, Okla., in 2004. On the fender it says, PRCA Steer Roping Rookie and it also has Brady's name on the cantle. It is fully tooled and has wood stirrups with a brand on them, it is a B with a spur rowel. It has cross conchos and also the breast collar matches the tooling on the saddle.

--Saddle 2: This saddle is a new NRS brand saddle. Brady won this saddle recently when he won the average at the Osage Steer Roping Finals. On the fender it says OSRC Finals Champion and the back jockey has 2008 stamped on it. It is a half breed, waffle stamp and rough out. This saddle has a breast collar that says ACRA Steer Horse of the Year.

--Saddle 3: This one is an older saddle made by Larry Dugan. It has been heavily oiled and is dark in color. It also has writing on the fender and it is a half breed with some tooling and some smooth leather. Under the fenders and the side jockey, it has Guy Allen and the date it was made stamped in the leather on both sides of the saddle.

If you have any information for us about these saddles call Brady at 918-857-3925 or Shorty Garten at 918-846-1833 or Hurley Hughes at 918-343-0149.
