Ogallala cattle sales reportThe Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Neb., reported receipts of 2,500 head Oct. 16, compared to 4,400 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. No comparison to last week, due to no feeder sale. Steers accounted for 78% and heifers 22% of the offering. Weights over 600 pounds accounted for 11% of the offering. Demand was fairly good and trading active.
