Woodward livestock sales report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 4,751 head Oct. 10, compared to 5,240 head last week and 6,200 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $4 to $6 lower. Feeder heifers were $6 to $7 lower, but not all weights were tested. Steer calves were $1 to $6 lower. Heifer calves were $3 to $5 lower. Demand was moderate for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 66% steers, 29% heifers with 68% over 600 pounds.
