Ericson cattle sales reportThe Ericson-Spalding Livestock Auction, Ericson, Neb., reported receipts of 2,500 head Oct. 11, compared to 3,500 head last week and 2,900 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared to last week, feeder calves and yearlings trended steady to $2 lower. The main run of spring calves was of average quality, with yearling cattle showing quite a bit of fill. Receipts consisted of 47% steers and 53% heifers, 38% over 600 pounds.
