Clovis cattle sales report

The Clovis Livestock Auction Co., Clovis, N.M., reported estimated receipts of 1,700 head Oct. 15, according to the USDA-New Mexico Department of Agriculture Market News, Clovis, N.M.

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady to $2 lower on moderate demand.

Steers: Medium and large frame 1, few 350 to 400 lbs., 116.25 to 121.00; few 450 to 500 lbs., 107.50 to 108.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, few 200 to 300 lbs., 125.00 to 127.00; package 315 lbs., 125.00; package 378 to 389 lbs., 114.00 to 115.00; package 361 lbs., thin 130.50; 400 to 500 lbs., thin 111.00 to 114.00; lot 491 lbs., 101.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 94.00 to 102.00; package 640 lbs., 94.00. Medium and large frame 2, package 341 lbs., thin 129.00; package 337 lb. fleshy 100.00; lot 675 lbs., 94.00; 850 to 900 lbs., 87.00 to 89.00.

Heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 300 to 400 lbs., 101.50 to 103.50; 450 to 500 lbs., 93.50 to 94.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 87.25 to 92.50; 600 to 650 lbs., 86.00; package 741 lbs., 85.10; package 837 lbs., 82.75. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, few 200 to 300 lbs., thin 116.00 to 119.00; 300 to 400 lbs., thin 101.50 to 109.25; lot 391 lbs., 95.75; 400 to 500 lbs., 96.00 to 101.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 85.75 to 96.25; package 797 lbs., 84.50.
