CCA's Mid-Winter Conference in Colorado Springs

Colorado

Colorado Cattlemen's Association members and guests from all over Colorado will be traveling to Colorado Springs for the 58th Mid-Winter Conference, Nov. 19 to 21 at the DoubleTree Hotel. This annual event, sponsored by CCA and the Colorado CattleWomen, brings together leaders throughout the state who have made a commitment to improving Colorado's beef industry.

During the lunch and awards banquet on Nov. 20, CCA will give special recognition to several members who have gone a step above their normal daily job descriptions and have shown an invaluable dedication to the beef industry. These include the Cattle Woman of the Year, CCW Rookie of the Year, and Law Enforcement Officers of the Year. Then a prime rib banquet will encompass a murder mystery where one of our attendees will be the victim!

Committees will meet on Thursday, Nov. 20 to discuss key industry topics including trade, federal lands management, endangered species, private-property rights, and more. Based on these discussions, members will consider and vote on proposed policy resolutions. The members at this event will develop policies that will guide the future of Colorado's beef industry. Join CCA members to learn about these beef industry issues and get involved in the decision making process that shapes the industry's future.

"Mid-Winter is a very important time for CCA members and non-members to get together and discuss the issues that are affecting our everyday life," states CCA president, Paul Bernklau. "There are issues in each of our committees that involve every livestock and land owner in the state of Colorado. This is why you need to be a member and be at Mid-Winter."

The Mid-Winter Conference will wrap up with the Current Issues Breakfast/Meeting Friday, Nov. 21, where each of CCA's affiliates will report on the activities and concerns in their areas.

To join CCA and CCW at the Mid-Winter Conference or to find out more information, contact the CCA office at 303-431-6422 or log on to www.coloradocattle.org.
