Aberdeen cattle sales reportThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 3,174 head Oct. 15, compared to 4,151 head last week and 2,745 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers under 600 pounds sold steady to $2 higher. Feeder steers over 600 pounds sold $1 to $2 lower. Heifers sold steady to $3 higher. A full house with many buyers on hand with good demand. Steers comprised 74% of the run, heifers 26%, with 62% of the supply over 600 pounds.
