2009 Beef Ambassador Program seeking funding

The American National CattleWomen met Oct. 9 to 12 in Oklahoma City, Okla., to host the 2009 National Beef Ambassador contest. Five National Ambassadors were selected from an outstanding group representing 20 state programs in one of the best contests ever hosted.

The American National CattleWomen have decided to continue the program despite the fact that their Authorization Request to the Cattlemen's Beef Board for checkoff funds was denied for the next fiscal year. The group is working to secure funds for the program and sees this as an opportunity to explore the possibility of taking the program to a new level.

For more information about the ANCW or the National Beef Ambassador program, contract Program Director Carol Abrahamson at 507-724-3905 or visit their websites at www.ancw.org or www.nationalbeefambassador.org.
