Milk replacer designed for dairy beef calves

Hubbard Feeds, Inc., Mankato, Minn., now offers a new milk replacer specifically for dairy beef calves.

VITALIZER DB utilizes a unique formulation, designed to combat health risks facing dairy beef calves from Day 1.

"Dairy beef calves have different needs and different health concerns than dairy replacement heifers. VITALIZER DB helps lower the producer's risk by providing nutrients to improve overall calf health," said Rich Larson, DVM, Ph.D., Hubbard Feeds Inc. "The product includes several key additives, designed to promote calf health."

VITALIZER DB includes unique encapsulated essential oils, found only in Hubbard milk replacers. These essential oils, along with plasma, provide antimicrobial properties, help reduce the severity of diarrhea, and improve overall animal performance. The milk replacer also includes elevated vitamin levels and organic trace minerals that support the calf's overall health. Additionally, Bio-Mos, a natural sugar derived from the cell wall of a select strain of yeast, is included in the milk replacer.
