South Central direct sheep

The South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Oct. 24, showed 600 head of feeder lambs, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas.

Compared to the last week, feeder lambs were steady. There were no slaughter lambs, slaughter ewes, replacement ewes or slaughter meat goats. Trading and demand were moderate. The financial crisis has affected all aspects of agriculture and buyers and sellers are taking a wait and see attitude.

Feeder lambs: Texas, 600 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 70 to 95 lbs., 95.00 to 100.00.
