Shipley joins ICA staff

Iowa

The Iowa Cattlemen's Association is pleased to announce Tom Shipley as Director of Issues Management and Policy Implementation. The newly-developed position is designed to work with producers in further identifying issues impacting Iowa Cattlemen's Association members, and to oversee ICA policy implementation in the Iowa Legislature and with regulatory agencies.

Shipley has a bachelor of science degree in ag education from Iowa State University. He is a native of Southwest Iowa and has been actively involved in both the Adams and Mills-Montgomery county cattlemen's associations. Shipley previously served as District 18 Director and cow-calf representative on the Iowa Cattlemen's Association board as well as co-chairing the membership committee.

"Over the years I have dedicated a great deal of time to the Iowa Cattlemen's Association because I have seen the value of the organization. I now look forward to serving the Association and our members on a fulltime basis", says Shipley.

Shipley will assume his new duties at the ICA headquarters in Ames Oct. 20.
