Paola FFA has National Proficiency Award winnerKansas The Paola FFA Chapter attended the 81st National FFA Convention and experienced tremendous success. Twenty-three student members along with their advisors and chaperones traveled to Indianapolis for the convention. Highlights for Paola included: Alyssa Jobe was named the National FFA Proficiency Award Winner in Small Animal Care. She received $1,000 cash award. She is the first proficiency award winner in the history of the chapter. Ashley Goul was a National FFA Proficiency Award Finalist in Equine Science Placement. She received $500 for being a finalist. Even though she was not named the winner she was selected as a participant for the National FFA Proficiency/Stars Trip to Costa Rica next June. Agri-Business Management Team placed 9th in the nation with all four team members earning Gold Emblems. Randa Oliver placed 7th overall and earned a $750 scholarship from John Deere. Team members were Randa Oliver, Annarose Hart, Ryan Sharp and Garrett Stevenson. Meagan Nelson received her American FFA Degree.
