Dodge City livestock sales reportDodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 1,890 head Oct. 22, compared to 867 head last week and 4,464 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, there were not enough comparable sales for a test, but a steady to higher undertone was noted. Slaughter cows were $1 to $2 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady to $2 higher. Receipts included 50% 600 pounds and over, 39% under 600 pounds and 11% slaughter cows and bulls with 229 early. The feeder supply consisted of 41% steers and 59% heifers.
