Wheat bids pressured in tradingFunds were buyers of corn and soybeans as dry conditions in Argentina helped support soybeans, according to the National Grain Market Summary, Nov. 17. Wheat was pressured in trading Nov. 17. Wheat closed 20 to 28 cents lower. Corn traded 6 to 11 cents higher. Soybeans closed mostly 10 to 12 cents higher. In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $5.65 1/2, down 27 3/4 cents. Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.26, down 27 cents; Minneapolis, $6.80 1/4, down 28 cents; Portland, $5.20 to $5.35, down 10 cents to unchanged; St. Louis, $4.18, down 20 cents. Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.81, up 6 cents; Minneapolis, $3.47 3/4, up 10 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $3.44 3/4 to $3.48 3/4, up 2 1/2 to 5 1/2 cents; Omaha, $3.76 to $3.93, up 11 to 8 cents. Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $8.77, up 11 cents; Minneapolis, $8.51 1/2, up 10 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $8.77 1/2 to $8.87, up 12 1/2 to 16 cents; central Illinois processors, $8.94 1/2 to $9.01 1/2, up 10 1/2 cents. Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 18, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $5.86 to $6.39, down 4 1/2 to 6 1/2 cents; 12% protein, $6.24 to $6.39, down 6 1/2 cents; 13% protein, $6.24 to $6.55, down 6 1/2 to 12 1/2 cents; 14% protein, $6.42 to $6.57, down 13 1/2 cents.
