Presho livestock sales report

The Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 2,190 head Nov. 13, compared to 2,413 head last week and 4,357 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to two weeks ago, the sale was cancelled last week due to weather. Feeder steers and heifers sold steady. The offering included 72% was steers, 28% was heifers, with 20% 600 pounds and over.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 418 to 447 lbs., 114.00 to 114.50 (114.11); 461 to 469 lbs., 114.00 to 115.00 (114.78); 508 to 545 lbs., 107.00 to 111.25 (109.27); 554 to 597 lbs., 103.25 to 109.00 (106.23); 613 to 631 lbs., 102.00 to 107.00 (105.74) calves; 10 head, 655 lbs., 99.00 calves; 6 head, 898 lbs., 96.75; 1010 to 1020 lbs., 99.85 to 100.10 (99.98); 1085 to 1086 lbs., 100.20 to 100.50 (100.35). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 451 to 492 lbs., 103.00 to 105.75 (103.42); 579 to 589 lbs., 95.00 to 100.25 (99.69); 14 head, 706 lbs., 101.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 411 to 445 lbs., 100.50 to 104.00 (101.32); 492 to 497 lbs., 95.00 to 97.00 (96.42); 502 to 544 lbs., 95.25 to 100.00 (97.25); 532 lbs., 102.00 replacement; 552 to 559 lbs., 90.75 to 91.50 (91.19); 568 to 599 lbs., 102.00 to 103.00 (102.43) replacement; 11 head, 601 lbs., 90.00 calves; 13 head, 760 to 796 lbs., 90.25 to 92.25 (91.20); 16 head, 824 lbs., 93.25; 9 head, 872 lbs., 90.25; 9 head, 1003 lbs., 90.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 18 head, 392 to 399 lbs., 104.25 to 106.75 (105.07); 14 head, 436 lbs., 95.00; 514 to 546 lbs., 90.50 to 93.25 (91.43).
