Pratt livestock sales report

Pratt Livestock Sales Inc., Pratt, Kan., reported receipts of 2,261 head Nov. 14, compared to 2,263 head last week and 3,966 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, steers at 650 to 900 pounds were steady, and heifers at 600 to 900 pounds were firm to $2 higher. Steers under 650 pounds and heifers under 600 pounds were steady in a limited test. Slaughter cows were weak to $3 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady. Trade and demand were moderate. Receipts included 53% 660 pounds and over, 26% 600 pounds and under, 21% slaughter cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 58% steers and 42% heifers.
