Lexington cattle sales reportThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 1,750 head Nov. 14, compared to 2,500 head last week and 3,500 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared with last week steers and heifers trended mostly steady to $2 lower. Pressure from the futures market, with corn upand feeders and live cattle down, most likely influenced the downward trend. Demand was mostly moderate. Receipts consisted of 56% steers and 44% heifers with 16% of the total feeder cattle receipts weighing over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 403 to 436 lbs., 117.00 to 122.25 (120.45); 452 to 473 lbs., 114.00 to 115.50 (114.90); 501 to 548 lbs., 109.25 to 116.00 (112.32); 65 head, 504 lbs., 119.50 fancy; 558 to 595 lbs., 102.25 to 106.25 (104.12); 610 to 625 lbs., 98.00 to 100.00 (99.40) calves; 657 to 676 lbs., 95.00 to 95.25 (95.03) calves; 5 head, 788 lbs., 96.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 5 head, 342 lbs., 115.50; 407 to 448 lbs., 113.00 to 118.00 (116.07); 17 head, 550 to 575 lbs., 98.75 to 100.00 (99.18); 8 head, 642 lbs., 91.00 calves; 12 head, 674 lbs., 90.00 calves. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 381 to 394 lbs., 107.00 to 110.00 (109.17); 419 to 446 lbs., 104.00 to 109.25 (106.11); 454 to 496 lbs., 95.00 to 102.75 (100.55); 512 to 541 lbs., 92.25 to 95.50 (93.64); 553 to 586 lbs., 90.50 to 95.50 (92.53); 12 head, 875 lbs., 88.50; 47 head, 980 lbs., 88.50.
