Georgia cattle auction summary

The summary of Georgia cattle auctions for the week ending Nov. 14, totaled 11,093 head, compared to 9,647 head last week and 13,903 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Thomasville, Ga.

Compared to one week ago, slaughter cows were $1 to $2 lower, bulls were $3 lower, feeder steers were $3 to $4 lower, heifers were $1 to $2 lower, steer calves and heifer calves were $1 to $4 lower, replacement cows unevenly steady. The offering included 10% steers over 600 pounds, 34% steers under 600 pounds, 8% heifers over 600 pounds, 27% heifers under 600 pounds, 8% feeder cows, 12% slaughter cows and 2% bulls.
