Ericson livestock salesThe Ericson Spalding Livestock Auction, Ericson, Neb., reported receipts of 1,600 head Nov. 15, compared to 3,500 head last week and 2,200 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Based on a fewer number of cattle than last week's sale, steer and heifer calves in the 500- and 600-pound weight range trended to $3 lower, with a sharply lower undertone noted on the 400-pounders. Demand on 800- and 900-pound yearlings was good. Receipts consisted of 59% steers and 41% heifers, 43% over 600 pounds.
