Dunlap livestock sales report

The Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 735 head Nov. 14, compared to 1,012 head last week, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.

This was a special feeder calf and yearling sale. Compared to the last special held two weeks ago, the trend was $3 to $5 lower on steer calves under 600 ponds and $2 to $4 lower on steers over 600 pounds; $2 to $5 lower on heifer calves under 600 pounds and $5 to $7 lower on heifers over 600 pounds. The receipts included 58% steers, 38% heifers, and 2% bulls.
