Dodge City livestock sales reportDodge City Winter Livestock, Inc., reported receipts of 3,912 head Nov. 12, compared to 3,075 head last week and 5,197 head last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Agriculture Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, steers at 350 to 650 pounds were steady to $4 higher, the bulk of trade were $1 to $4 higher, and 650 to 900 pounds were steady to weak. Heifers at 350 to 650 pounds were $1 to $2 higher, and 650 to 950 pounds were steady to weak. Slaughter cows were steady to $3 lower, with full decline on Boners. Slaughter bulls were $1 to $2 lower. Trade and demand were moderate. Receipts included 41% over 600 pounds, 50% under 500 pounds and 9% slaughter cows and bulls with 315 head selling early. The feeder supply consisted of 46% steers and 54% heifers.
