Denison feeder cattle auction

The Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 893 head Nov. 13, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.

This was a special preconditioned sale, so there was no comparison. Trade was active. Demand was good The supply consisted of 56% feeder steers, 44% feeder heifers, and 43% were over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 11 head, 352 to 397 lbs., 105.00 to 112.00 (108.38); 14 head, 421 to 448 lbs., 108.00 to 114.50 (112.72); 460 to 495 lbs., 107.50 to 112.50 (108.69); 506 to 533 lbs., 105.50 to 109.00 (106.81); 12 head, 510 lbs., 114.50 fancy; 550 to 596 lbs., 100.00 to 106.50 (103.87); 600 to 644 lbs., 100.50 to 106.00 (103.16) calves; 653 to 682 lbs., 97.00 to 104.50 (100.39) calves; 20 head, 711 to 726 lbs., 95.00 to 98.50 (97.46) calves; 752 to 772 lbs., 94.00 to 100.00 (98.65) calves; 17 head, 804 to 832 lbs., 94.00 to 97.50 (96.09) calves. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 13 head, 408 to 435 lbs., 103.00 to 105.00 (104.37).
