Dalhart livestock sales reportThe Cattleman's livestock Auction, Dalhart, Texas, reported receipts of 2,958 head Nov. 13, compared to 2,638 head last week and 2,126 head last year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture Market News-USDA Market News, Amarillo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers under 600 pounds were $3 to $5 higher, over 600 pounds were firm to $2 higher. Slaughter cows were $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were not well tested. Trade was active. Demand was good. The bulk of the supply were Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 350- to 850-pound feeder steers and heifers. Slaughter cows made up 15% of the offering, slaughter bulls 1%, and feeders 84%. The feeder supply included 55% steers and 45% heifers, with nearly 42% of the run over 600 pounds.
