Colorado livestock sales reportThe Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary Nov. 14, reported receipts of 14,369 head, compared to 10,669 head last week and 14,450 head last week, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, yearling steers and heifers were sold steady to $2 lower. Steer calves sold $2 to $3 higher early, steady in the latter portion. Heifer calves sold mostly steady except cattle weighing under 500 pounds were mostly $2 to $3 lower. Demand was moderate to good. Colorado markets showed an increase in receipt numbers. Market interest picked up as many new buyers were present at this auction. The supply was made up of 59% feeder steers, 40% feeder heifers, balance feeder bulls, with about 40% of total feeder supply over 600 pounds.
