Tulsa livestock sales reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 4,780 head Nov. 10, compared to 3,950 head last week and 3,191 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steer calves were $2 to $3 higher. Feeder steers were mostly steady to $1 lower. Heifer calves were $3 to $5 lower. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 lower. Weigh-ups were mostly average. Trade was active along with good demand. Higher incidence of No. 1 calves. Good attendance of buyers. Receipts were comprised of 44% steers, 49% heifers, 7% bulls, with 20% of feeder cattle over 600 pounds. A total of 625 cows and bulls sold with 45% going to packers. Slaughter cows were mostly steady. Slaughter bulls were $1 to $2 lower. There was some activity on older bred cows going back to pastures.
